Biography
Supermodel Paulina Porizkova was born on April 9, 1965, in Prostejov, Czechoslovakia. Fleeing the Soviet invasion in 1968, her parents moved to Lund, Sweden. Paulina and her brother were left behind with their grandmother and were reunited after seven long years. In the early 1980s she quickly became one of the top models in Paris, and she became famous in America when she posed for the "Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue" in 1984 and then again in 1985.
