Yanni Chryssomalis, 14 November 1954, Kalamata, Greece. One of modern instrumental music's most distinctive and popular composers, Yanni moved to the USA in 1972 where he attended the University of Minnesota, pursuing a degree in psychology while also playing with prog-rock band Chameleon.
