Born Ronnie Jones, pop-country singer of late '60s and early '70s, stage name from the then husband of Princess Margaret. The one-time professional golfer was discovered by Conway Twitty; toured with Twitty's show '63-'66; signed to Chart Records '68 and broght pop covers to the country chart: "Proud Mary' '69, "Take A Letter Maria' '70, "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown' '73.
